Trump's top advisor to visit Belgrade in late August?

US President Donald Trump's advisor John Bolton could visit Belgrade and Pristina by the end of August, the newspaper Blic reports.

At the same time, the US will embark on an offensive when it comes to solving the Kosovo problem, that is, kick-starting the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue from the deadlock, the daily has learned.

Whether this high-level visit will occur depends on whether Pristina the 100 percent tax imposed on Serbian goods, Blic reports, citing diplomatic sources.

Accordingly, aggressive diplomatic activity that should lead to the abolition of the taxes is continuing.

"If there are guarantees that the taxes will be abolished, he will come. Otherwise, his visit is not very likely, as he simply doesn't want to be unsuccessful. Since the situation with the taxes is uncertain for the time being, the visit has not been confirmed either," a source said.

The newspaper's source also states that, because of all this, it's completely justified to expect increased pressure on the Pristina authorities to possibly make that visit happen.

Blic also said that Bolton, by stating that America was not ruling out territorial corrections, put the delimitation story on the table a year ago as a potential solution to the Kosovo knot - but also effectively marked a change in Washington's policy towards the changing of borders in the Balkans.

That is why this visit is given great importance, and if it does take place, it will in a certain way mean that a further step had been made in the direction of reaching a Kosovo solution, the newspaper assessed.
