A woman called in and said, "There's a bomb is in the mall!" Evacuation in Nis due to false report
The competent prosecution ordered the building to be evacuated until its safety was checked
The Zona 3 shopping mall on Nemanjica Boulevard in Nis was evacuated on Thursday morning on the order of the prosecution, after the police received a report that a bomb had been placed in the building. However, the report turned out to be false.
As we have learned, the police received a phone call this morning at 9:15 a.m., informing the competent prosecutor's office was, which ordered that the building be evacuated until its safety was checked.
Police teams were on the ground, and as we have found out, the phone call was made by a woman.
This is not the first time that fake bomb tip-offs have occured in Nis, a town in southern Serbia. So far, this kind of false report always concerned the building of the Palace of Justice.
Each of these reports has so far proved to be false, and several people have been put on trial and sentenced for disturbing the public.
