Serbia's national men's basketball team arrived today in Foshan, the city where it will start competing in the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup in China.

The men selected by head coach Aleksandar Djordjevic arrived in Foshan from Shenyang after winning the AusTiger Cup, during which they defeated Italy, New Zealand and France.

Serbia has thus triumphantly completed the pre-tournament tage without a single defeat, with an almost 10/10 score.

"Serbia's basketball players and professional staff flew from Shenyang to Gwangju for 3 hours and 45 minutes and then took a bus to Foshan, reaching it after an hour and a half. As they 'migrated' to the south of China, they were greeted with a rather different climate than that in Shenyang, that is, with higher humidity and a temperature of 36 degrees centigrade," said the website of the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS).

In this tournament, Serbia is defending the silver medal won in 2014 at the World Championships in Spain. The team will play the opening game of the World Cup in China against Angola on August 31, starting at 9.30 a.m.

Serbia's other Group D rivals include Italy and the Philippines.
