Testimony of victim of hooligans on highway: Smoke, vandals jumping out, strikes, glass shattering

The narrowing of the road, the chaos, the smoke, and then the breaking of the glass and relentless blows with baseball bats - this is how the attack of hooligans on the Milos Veliki highway near Mislogdjn has been described to us in detail by one of the victims of this senseless act. Three people were injured in the attack.

Fans used sticks to attack vehicles that managed to slow down or stop, shattering several car windows; the police are looking for more than ten people.

"Everything is great, they say, the most important thing is that there are no serious injuries... So must somebody die before something is done?", the victim and eyewitness of the attack told Telegraf.rs angrily and indignantly.

"I am extremely, extremely angry, angry because of something like that, and I can't believe that a man, a young guy, maybe I could call him a kid, attacks with a bat in the middle of the highway, smashing your windows, goes there with the intention of doing it, waits in ambush, creates a diversion, and no big deal," the young man who was in one of the vehicles attacked by hooligans on the highway told the Telegraf.

He described to us in detail the atmosphere on the highway on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday:

"I see cars slowing down, the road narrowing marked with those vertical indicators with yellow lights at the top, which indicate roadwork and narrowing lanes... I see lights, almost everyone is stopping, I think something's on fire, that there was an accident .. I don't even know what to think and all of a sudden I hear glass smashing, the noise, the smoke, vandals are jumping out in front of us, the (car) in front of us wants to move back, hits me, I want to turn back, I hit the third behind me... I see a little space, between the vandals and the cars and I hit the gas, trying to avoid them all and escape," he said.

As he says, he didn't see symbols of any club - all that was before his eyes were just "masked faces, baseball bats,  the smashing, tires screeching, the strikes, chaos within five seconds and incredible speed."

Our interlocutor claims that this was not a showdown between groups of fans, but a brutal attack on a completely random column of vehicles.

"The vandals attacked a column of random (cars) passing by, hitting windows, there was no fan group there, no one in the column (of cars) had any symbols. This has to be emphasized, because then a whole different connotation is given to everything, it was no showdown between fan groups," our interlocutor explicitly said.

He says the question remains what would have happen if his car injured or killed one of the attackers, because they as pedestrians stopped in the middle of the highway and started attacking drivers who were accelerating to get away from them as soon as possible.

"What if they as vandals smashed the glass on a car that had a child, a baby?," our interlocutor asks angrily.
