The Telegraf.rs portal has learned that a real drama unfolded in the skies above Slovenia. Namely, a thunderbolt struck the government's Falcon plane, in which Ivica Dacic, Serbia's first deputy prime minister and foreign minister, was traveling on his way to Ljubljana.

Thanks to the pilot's composure, the plane landed safely at the Ljubljana airport, and Dacic then continued to Bled where he is taking part in the Strategic Forum.

A severe storm hit Slovenia and Croatia today with more than 20,000 strikes of lightning recorded in just two hours.

However, this is not the first crisis with the government's Falcon aircraft. At the end of May the same plane malfunctioned in the sky above Greece, once again with Dacic on board, and had only 15 minutes to make an emergency landing in Athens!

The head of Serbia's diplomacy seems to have gotten accustomed to these extreme challenges. After the crisis over Greece, he said:

"It's as if I have ten lives."

Dacic will represent Serbia at the traditional Bled Strategic Forum, which started today and is this year is dedicated to stability in the region, sustainable development and economic progress.

On the sidelines of the event, Dacic will meet with Matthew Palmer, the US special envoy for the Balkans, the Foreign Ministry said today.
