President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met today with Special Envoy of US President Donald Trump for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina Richard Grenell, the Press Office of the President of the Republic announced.
President Vucic briefed US Presidential Envoy Richard Grenell about Serbia's position regarding the dialogue and position of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
President Vucic emphasized Serbia's commitment to resolving Belgrade-Pristina relations through dialogue.
"A compromise solution in the interest of stability and future of the entire region can be reached by respecting Serbia's legitimate interests," concluded President Vucic.
"The strong conviction of the Trump administration is that economic development, job creation and increased trade opportunities are a key part of ensuring lasting peace. The goal is to bring our partners in Serbia and in Kosovo to a comprehensive solution in order to resolve conflict spots in the region. Both sides will need to work together closely and quickly, looking to the future," said Special Envoy Grenell.
During his stay in Belgrade, Grenell also met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic.
