Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today that Washington's decision to suspend its $200 million investment in Kosovo is a clear US policy, for which she is grateful to the Trump administration, and said she would like the EU to finally say what its policy is regarding Pristina's taxes.

"I want to thank the US and the Trump administration for really consistently doing what they say. It is a completely transparent and predictable policy and I thank them for that," said Brnabic, answering journalists' questions.

She stressed the importance of sending such a clear signal, not only for Serbia, but for all citizens in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija.

Brnabic said that she would like the EU to finally state more clearly what its policy on Pristina's taxes is, which have been tolerated for more than a year and which represent a clear violation of both CEFTA and the SAA.

"It seems to me that such a clear policy would prevent all other moves that may further undermine regional stability and cooperation. Big thanks (to the US) and finally a clear policy," said Brnabic.
