Air Serbia will start reestablishing air traffic with its destinations in Italy on July 1 with a Belgrade- Milan flight, the company announced today.

Flights to Rome will be reestablished on July 2, while a day later, Venice will again be on the flight schedule of the Serbian national carrier.

Air Serbia will fly to Milan and Rome every day, while there will be flights to Venice three times a week, with a gradual increase in frequency.

Air Serbia will be the first carrier to reestablish flights between Serbia and Italy as soon as all restrictions are lifted.

This, as stated by Air Serbia, once again confirms the great importance of the Italian market, both for Serbia, our country, and for the national airline that has been flying to Italy since the 1950s.

"We are happy to reestablish air connection with Italy, which is traditionally one of the most important markets for Serbia due to numerous factors that connect the two countries, including strong economic cooperation, tourism, the diaspora, and trade," says Air Serbia CEO Duncan Naismith.

With an initial 17 flights a week and an extensive network of destinations from the Serbian capital, Air Serbia will provide a strong connection between Belgrade, Italy and other cities in the Air Serbia network.

When the flight schedule reaches full capacity, the national carrier will offer good network connections from Italy via Belgrade to Bucharest, Dubrovnik, Istanbul, Kiev, Larnaca, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, Split, Tel Aviv, Tivat and other cities, Air Serbia announced.
