"Thanks to Vucic, Kosovo is back on the agenda." Dacic: Serbia is taking care of its own interests

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and leader of the Socialist Party of Serbia Ivica Dacic says that at the same time as some opposition representatives are attacking President Aleksandar Vucic for Russophobia in Russian media, US media is attacking Vucic because Serbia is buying Chinese weapons despite US warnings.

"That speaks of the meaninglessness of these attacks because Serbia is not pursuing either Russophobic or Russophile policy, but Serbian policy, taking into account exclusively the interest of Serbia and the Serbian people. The same applies to relations with China, but also with the EU, the US, France, Germany or any other country in the world," Dacic pointed out in a statement for Tanjug.

He pointed out that it is at the very least hypocritical of those political forces during whose time in power Kosovo declared independence, when almost 90 countries recognized it and when Serbia was defea.ted before the International Court of Justice in The Hague, to accuse Serbia and Vucic that they would recognize Kosovo.

"Precisely thanks to the activities of the Serbian leadership, primarily Vucic, the issue of Kosovo has been returned to the agenda, with Serbia's incomparably better international position compared to the time of Tadic, Djilas, Jeremic and others," the head of Serbian diplomacy pointed out.

He said that relations with Russia have never been better, as well as with China, the United States, Germany, France and others, but that, above all, Serbian interests should be taken into account.

"Also I reject with indignation the lie that I and the Socialist Party of Serbia are under Russian influence. We do not work for anyone else's interest, exclusively for Serbia and the Serbian people. That is why I am proud of everything that we did together with Vucic in the defense of Serbia and its future," Dacic stressed.
