Vucic: "Soldiers" were created in stadiums. 2 crime groups in Serbia, imported from Montenegro

"And their main leaders, among whom is Belivuk, have their leader who is today in the territory of Montenegro. I think there was an attempt to kill him. The real leader was 'cut' over here," said the president of Serbia

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told a news conference today that two criminal groups were clashing in Serbia at one point, and both are "imported" from Montenegro.

"There were clashes between two mafia groups, of the kind where one of the groups had information about the movements of the members of the other, which allowed them to easily commit crimes. Various high-ranking officials took part in it, from various services and the police, they helped in different ways. It would be very difficult to do such things without help and tacit approval. That is exactly why we are working so energetically and vigorously to stand against such people," said Vucic.

As he added, two large (crime) groups have been created and neither is from Serbia.

"Both were imported here from Montenegro. Supposed (football) supporter groups were used to do some things within the stadium. If you become a so-called soldier, then you can sell something for 50, 60 euros for your friends. And their main leaders, among whom is Belivuk, have their leader who is today in the territory of Montenegro. I think there was an attempt to kill him. The real leader was 'cut' over here."

"This is about an imported mafia, killers and criminals. A formidable armada has been created, which we are now bringing to heel. But we won't be able to do that until we investigate those from the state apparatus who were helping them."

The arrested members of Veljko Belivuk's criminal group are in custody, while Belivuk and another suspect, Miljkovic, are charged with several criminal acts, including three murders.
