Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a message to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, congratulating him on the occasion of Serbian Statehood Day, February 15.

"Please receive cordial congratulations on the occasion of the national holiday of your country - Statehood Day. In Russia we value highly relations with Serbia, which are based on ancient traditions of brotherly friendship, cultural and spiritual closeness," Putin stated in his message.

He said he is convinced that further development of the bilateral strategic partnership and constructive cooperation in various fields corresponds to the fundamental interests of the peoples of the two countries and security and stability on the European continent.
