Red Star reacts to insults against Ibra: Zlatan, we're sorry, that primitive will bear consequences!

Red Star Football Club has issued a statement regarding the disgraceful shouts of a rude person who found himself in a box at the stadium, made against Zlatan Ibrahimovic, insulting him on the basis of his origins.

Red Star stress that they will not allow one primitive individual to cast a shadow on the traditional hospitality of the Serbian people, and emphasize that they will find the individual question in cooperation with competent authorities and insist that he bears all the consequences of such behavior.

Here's the Red Star statement in full:

"Red Star strongly condemns the insulting shouts at the expense of Zlatan Ibrahimovic during last night's match against Milan. As a club, we have done everything to ensure that the organization of the match is at the level of two big clubs, and we will not allow one primitive individual to cast a shadow on the traditionally known hospitality of our country and our people. Red Star, in cooperation with competent authorities, will find the said individual and insist that he bears all the consequences of such behavior.

Red Star sincerely apologizes to Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the inconvenience he experienced in our house. According to old Serbian customs, our club has always been a good host and that is known throughout Europe and will remain so in the future because we will never tolerate such outbursts."

Red Star fans were also outraged by the behavior of the person who insulted Zlatan, calling him a "balija" (a slur word for Bosnian Muslims) and cursing him, although the Milan footballer did not make any ugly gestures at the stadium, but on the contrary, made fair statements and wished that the stadium could have been full.
