Serbian Minister Dmitrovic hospitalized because of Covid: There have been health complications

Minister of Family Welfare and Demography in the Government of Serbia Ratko Dmitrovic has been sent for treatment to one of the Belgrade Covid hospitals, the Ministry announced.

"After it was discovered yesterday morning that the minister was infected with coronavirus, Dmitrovic planned treatment at home, however, during the afternoon there were health complications and doctors insisted that Dmitrovic should get hospitalized," a statement issued by the Ministry of Family Welfare and Demography said.

In an earlier statement for Telegraf, Dmitrovic confirmed that he had tested positive for coronavirus, had a fever and was not feeling well.

"I don't feel well, I have a fever, I cough, there is a shadow on my lungs, I feel weak... I was constantly on the road, sometimes visiting three or four municipalities a week, meeting with a large number of people, we talk about demographics... It's a miracle I didn't get infected even earlier. I am vaccinated, but it made no difference," he said.
