Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that by commenting on a recent "non-paper" he stated that it was written by someone who was obviously present at all meetings and listened carefully, someone extremely competent and more cunning than himself.

"The game of chess is still ongoing. This was a surprise for me as well, the way the document was put together," he said.

Vucic added that he is working with his team and carefully studying everything that has been written in the document.

"Although Serbia is being offered much more than what the Ahtisaari plan offered, it is still not good for us. This shows that pressure on Serbia will increase and that we are approaching a situation when we either have to reach a final solution or for the culprit to be declared," stressed the Serbian president.

The Pristina newspaper Koha Ditore published the content of the alleged "non-paper" where it is stated that "Kosovo and Serbia will respect each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and there will also be an autonomous area of Northern Kosovo."

Among other points, the documents states that the Serbian Orthodox Church will have special status, while the town of Mitrovica will become a common economic zone. All agreements reached so far should be implemented, and the final agreement should be reached by February 2022, said the non-paper.
