A center for Covid 19 testing has been opened at the Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport, which works 24 hours a day, while the results are available in the period from 60 to 120 minutes. PCR and antigen testing can be performed in that center, the Belgrade airport announced.

The price of tests is at the prescribed level in state institutions in Serbia and amounts to 3,500 dinars for the antigen and 9,000 dinars for the PCR test.

The testing center was opened in cooperation with the Government of Serbia and the Republic Health Insurance Fund (RFZO).

Thanks to the testing center, passengers departing, arriving and transiting to countries requiring a negative test for the presence of coronavirus, as well as all interested Serbian citizens and foreign nationals, can now be tested and get results at the airport, for safer and more efficient travel.

The testing center is located in Terminal 1 of the Belgrade Airport and includes testing services for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus:

Real Time PCR test, the results of which are available to the user by e-mail within a maximum of 120 minutes from taking a swab sample, and rapid test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus, using rapid antigen tests, the results of which are available to the user by e-mail within maximum 60 minutes after taking the sample, also with a swab.

Test results are issued bilingually, in Serbian and English and sent to e-mail addressed of passengers, the center can also print the results, while access to test results is restricted only to authorized staff of competent state institutions.

The airport's authorities say that it is important that all passengers are well acquainted with the up-to-date regulations before traveling to a selected country, because each country separately defines the rules and requirements for entering and staying in its territory during the pandemic.

Payment for testing must be made before arriving at the registration point. Payment can also be made at the counters of Serbia's postal service office, which is located on the ground floor of Terminal 1, every day of the week, 24 hours a day.

Registration for testing is done at the registration point located near the payment counter or electronically, through the eGovernment (eUprava) portal.

The airport pleads with passengers to pay special attention to the time required for the process of issuing the results, i.e., that it takes up to 120 minutes from the moment of taking a swab sample to issue for results of a PCR test and up to 60 minutes for the antigen test.

"The Belgrade Airport d.o.o. company, in cooperation with competent health institutions, has organized testing at its location, within the testing project at the border crossings of the Republic of Serbia, with the aim of additionally supporting existing sanitary measures against Covid 19 at the airport and providing new customer service, which greatly facilitates travel. Testing at airports certainly contributes to restoring confidence in travel safety and helps the aviation industry and the economy to gradually get out of this crisis," says the company's general manager, Francois Berisot.

The testing is performed by authorized state institutions, Institute of Public Health of Serbia Dr Milan Jovanovic Batut, City Institute of Public Health Belgrade, Institute of Virology, Vaccines and Serums Torlak, Department of Biocides and Medical Ecology, University Clinical Center of Serbia, Institute of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine , University of Belgrade, Directorate for National Reference Laboratories, Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, University of Belgrade.

The testing center, as stated, is another key element of the measures in the fight against Covid 19, which already exist within the airport network of VINCI Airports, and especially within the health campaign "We protect each other" for which the Airport Council International (ACI) has awarded a certificate to the company Belgrade Airport d.o.o.
