Minister of Internal Affairs of Angola Eugenio Laborinho said today in Belgrade that the position of his country has not changed regarding the issue of Kosovo's admission to Interpol, reports Tanjug.

Laborinho, who met with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vulin, said that Angola's position "will remain firm in Interpol on the issue of Kosovo and that it will be the same at the upcoming 89th session in Istanbul," the Serbian Interior Ministry announced.

"Our countries have friendly and strong relations that go back to the beginning of our national liberation struggle for independence. Yugoslavia was one of the first countries to recognize Angola as an independent state and support our struggle. I will do everything to strengthen cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs of our countries, especially in the field of training and advanced training," said Laborinho.

Vulin expressed his gratitude for the courageous and principled stance of Angola, as he said, not to recognize the fake state of Kosovo.

"The voice of Angola is heard far and wide and thanks to you and your principled position, the fake state of Kosovo has not become a member of Interpol. I want to thank you for that once again, and of course I am looking forward to the time ahead, our cooperation, exchange of information, exchange of staff, the training of our students," said Minister Vulin.

Laborinho, who is visiting Serbia, on Tuesday met with President Aleksandar Vucic.
