The suspected perpetrator (19) has been detained for up to 48 hours

A horrible case of violence happened yesterday in the Ahilej gym in New Belgrade, when a man assaulted a woman working behind the counter. He was arrested after the incident.

Namely, the man attacked the gym worker after she explained to him that she could not allow him to sit behind the counter, because he was not an employee.

Upset by this, he jumped behind the counter, pushed the chair and started violently attacking the young woman and threatening her.

The second video shows a gruesome scene of the attack, when the bully returned to the gym and started punching the woman in the head. It is noticeable in the video that only some of those present tried to pull the attacker away from the victim, while most of them stood motionless between the devices, silently watched the incident.

"Any thug who thinks that they will defeat Ahilej with their violent behavior is grossly mistaken. As long as I and my associates live, we will defend every woman behind the counter, every coach and manager with all our strength and stand up with all our resources so that justice wins," the gym's director, Aleksandar Djordjevic, said on Instagram.

He later confirmed this for Telegraf, adding that this is the first such case of violence that happened in Ahilej gyms.

The Ministry of the Interior reacts

Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) in Belgrade arrested U.R. (19) immediately after he committed the criminal acts of violent behavior and endangering security.

He is charged with physically attacking a worker in a New Belgrade gym yesterday after threatening her, and then going on a social network to further threaten the gym's employees.

Also, after a few hours U.R., is suspected of returning to the gym and punching the workers several times.

The suspect has been detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought before the Third Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade along with a criminal complaint.
