The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora in Pristina is ready to reconsider its stance and possibly approve future visits, if Petkovic shows readiness to refrain from provocative statements related to citizens and institutions of so-called Kosovo, Qendresa Fazliu, a representative of this ministry, told RSE in Albanian, according to Reporteri.

Institutions in Pristina last banned Petar Petkovic from entry on Tuesday. He is the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia and has not been able to visit Kosovo and attend a celebration at the Visoki Decani monastery.

On that occasion, a spokesman of the European Union, Peter Stano, called on Pristina to reconsider the decision banning Petkovic from entering Kosovo, and to allow that visit.

"We know that Mr. Petkovic's visit was adequately announced and in accordance with the agreement on official visits. We invite Kosovo to reconsider its decision and allow this visit," Stano told Tanjug.
