More than 300 trees have fallen in Belgrade, Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesic said this morning.

Trees were falling all over the city yesterday, there was almost no part of Belgrade where a tree did not fall on cars, in some cases snow pulled them from the roots.

As Vesic stated, the public company Zelenilo Beograd had 205 interventions yesterday, and already today they have 505 new requests due to large trees or their branches that had broken off and fell.

"161 interventions in public places. According to our information, over 300 trees fell in the territory of the city," said Vesic.

He added that teams are on the ground and that they are removing trees and poles, so that public transport can function smoothly.

Heavy snow tore power cables yesterday, so a park on Banovo bBdo was full of them. In addition to trees and cables, street poles were falling also.
