Denmark signs contract with government in Pristina on renting prison cells
Pristina is expected to receive 210 million euros in the next decade, and it should be noted that the cost for one prisoner in Kosovo and Metohija is about 28 euros per day, or 10,000 euros annually. The contract was signed for the duration of 10 years
The governments of the provisional institutions in Pristina and of the Kingdom of Denmark signed a joint agreement and declaration as an obligation to rent the cells of the Detention Center in Gjilan, writes Reporteri.

The details of the agreement were presented by Justice Minister Albulena Haxhiu and Economy Minister Artana Rizvanoli.
Haxhiu explained that the agreement with Denmark, which will allow accommodating 300 prisoners from that country, will be valid for the next 10 years. She added that inmates who are transferred from Denmark will not be in the high risk category.
According to her, the money earned from the agreement will be used for renewable energy.
