During his visit to the Raska District, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic spoke about the problems related to electricity supply faced by that region.

"We have a greater loss of electricity here than anywhere else. As far as EPS (state power company) is concerned, we don't have any essential problems, we will have to have large investments in replacing poles, the grid, cleaning, both in Sjenica and in Novi Pazar. In Europe only Georgia has cheaper electricity than us. Let's show elementary respect for the state and pay for electricity," said Vucic.

Asked about the problems relating to the power grid, Vucic stressed that it is not well known that many people connect to the system illegally and thus deplete the resources.

"We are working on it, we have a problem in two municipalities with the fact that people are illegally connecting to the grid. Not everyone is wealthy enough to be able to pay, but if we are building illegal structures, let's find a legal solution to connect them."

"We have a greater loss of electricity here than anywhere else. I am asking people not to put others, who are paying for electricity, in an awkward situation. I have no doubt that some problems are down to us, we will have to take more initiative. When it comes to replacement of wooden poles, and everything else," said Vucic and appealed on the citizens to pay regularly for the electricity they consume.

He added that this represents elementary respect toward the state.

"Atlagic, you heard what people are saying. Try to sit down with Salih, Mihat... See where we have problems, in order to solve them," the president said.
