Firefighters in Nis smash windows, find bodies of Nis teachers: Police called after they weren't seen for days

The bodies of a married couple found this morning in their home in Despota Stefana Street in the Durlan neighborhood of the city of Nis have been identified. As we have learned at the scene these are Georgiev Todora and Miodrag.

According to the neighbors, they were retired teachers. They lived alone, and had two sons who are university graduates and live in Canada.

"The old man was seen on Friday, he said hello to the neighbors. After we saw that the blinds on their windows were down for a few days and no light was seen inside the house, we called the police. Then firefighters came and broke the windows to enter since the house was locked," the locals told Telegraf, adding, "Todora hasn't been going outside much in the last three months, she was sick. They were both peaceful people who didn't have any problems with anyone."

According to unofficial information, one of the spouses died of natural causes, but the exact cause of death of both will be known after the autopsies have been performed.

The elderly woman was reportedly found on the bed, while the man was on the floor.
