"We have secured 500 million cubic meters of gas storage for the coming winter," announced Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali, who is in Budapest today.

"We spoke about how to cooperate more and better. Hungary has become our third foreign trade partner this year, and we want to continue this never better cooperation in the right way," Mali said as he addressed the press after the meeting.

He added that a number of topics were on the agenda today.

"Great news for citizens of Serbia - we have secured 500 million cubic meters of gas storage for the coming winter. So, what will guarantee gas supply during the upcoming winter has been secured today," Mali stressed.

"We will have three million cubic meters of gas available to withdraw in October, six in November, December, January and February and three million cubic meters in March. So, in this way, we will have fully secured gas supply for the upcoming season, which was a priority for us during this visit. Citizens of Serbia can feel reassured and not worry about this issue," Mali said.

He added that it is very important that the transit of gas flows smoothly from Serbia to Hungary and from Hungary to Serbia.
