Works continue on a section of the Morava Corridor which has more than 118 bridges, overpasses and underpasses.

The first digital highway in Serbia will be about 110 kilometers long, connecting half a million inhabitants and all larger towns in the area: Cicevac, Stalac, Krusevac, Trstenik, Vrnjaska Banja, Kraljevo, Cacak.

The corridor will represent a direct connection between Corridors 10 and 11, i.e., provide better internal connection between western and southwestern and southern and southeastern parts of Serbia, and with Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey.

Although at some point certain media reported that the bed of the West (Zapadna) Morava River will be "corrected" in five locations, according what Telegraf Biznis has learned, the road also has a protective function against floods, and works will be done on embankment fortification.

Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirovic said on Saturday, after touring works on the Morava Corridor, that a large industrial zone will be created in parallel with the construction of the highway, which will be located between Varvarin and Cicevac creating new prospects for these two municipalities, but also for Trstenik and Krusevac.
