Serbian Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar said after visiting those injured in the accident in Bulgaria that nobody died in the crash. "We visited all the children and adults and spoke to them. One child was operated on, as well as one parent whose leg was amputated," Loncar said.

Minister Loncar, who with his Bulgarian colleague when he visited the injured in the hospital in Stara Zagora in Bulgaria, stressed that he talked with children and adults and that the child who had surgery is feeling well.

"One child has head injuries and will be transferred to Sofia for further monitoring, and probably the child that had surgery will also be transferred to Sofia for further treatment," said the minister.

Loncar announced that transport will be organized for children who are well, so that relatives do not have to come pick them up and face additional problems.

He also mentioned that he will visit the children who are in the hotel and thanked everyone in Bulgaria who made sure that the children and adults from Serbia were adequately taken care of after the accident, reports RTS.

Bus driver detained for 24 hours

The bus driver from Serbia, who's vehicle overturned on the highway in Bulgaria on Sunday evening, injuring several adults and children, has been detained for 24 hours and will probably be charged, the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior announced, reports BTA.

The Ministry of Interior announced that the cause was either human error or a technical problem.

The bus driver tested negative for alcohol and drugs.

The traffic accident was most likely caused by human error, the prosecutor's office announced at a press conference.

Investigators believe that the bus driver lost concentration for some reason, which is why the bus went off the road and ended up in a ditch.

The children were returning from a festival in Nesebar and their parents were with them.

The cause of the accident is not yet known, but according to the testimony of a female passenger, the bus swerved off the road as the driver leaned down to lower the passenger seat next to him, so that a parent who's child got sick child could sit there.
