Police issues statement after prostitution ring arrest: For 8 months, they pimped women to rich clients

In a major operation by the police and the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime, N.B. (34) was arrested for organizing prostitution along with S.B. (44), N.R. (32), M.M. (26) and VV. (52), while the suspect M.O. (49) is still being searched for.

As the Ministry of Interior (MUP) announced, from November 2021 to mid-July 2022, in the territory of Belgrade, the suspects, acting as members of an organized criminal group, advertised and solicited engagement in prostitution, as well as mediation with several female persons, all for the purpose of obtaining illegal gains.

It is also suspected that they organized the handing over of several female persons to third parties in order to provide sexual services, and they divided the money earned in that way among themselves in accordance with the tasks they performed, using that money also to cover the expenses that they had while performing these illegal activities.

During the search, mobile phones and SIM cards used in the commission of the crime, as well as payment slips with money transactions, were found on the suspects.

The suspects are detained for up to 48 hours, and they will be brought to the competent prosecutor's office with a criminal complaint.
