At least five people were injured in a traffic accident that occurred on the Zrenjanin Road when a van and a passenger car collided.

The accident happened at 6:10 am, between Besni Fok and the Japanski Cvet restaurant on the Zrenjanin Road, RTS reports from the scene.

According to RTS, five people were injured.

According to unofficial information, the accident occurred when the driver of the car started overtaking and the van driver started turning left. The force of the impact caused the car to end up in a field.

There were two ambulance cars at the scene of the accident, one of which transported four people to the Emergency Center. For now, it is known that one more person was transported to the hospital.

The investigation will reveal the cause of this accident.

A Parking Service vehicle with a crane came to the scene to remove the car from the field.

Traffic is moving slowly in both directions, with the assistance of the traffic police.
