The Djerdap National Park is located in the northeastern part of Serbia, close to the border with Romania, and spreads in the territory of three municipalities - Golubac, Kladovo, and Majdanpek.

The star of our largest national park is certainly the Djerdap (Iron Gates) Gorge, the longest and largest in Europe.

Its name comes from the Old Persian word "girdap", which means "whirlpool" and is also known both in Serbia and in neighboring Romania as "Iron Gate" or "Iron Gates."

The Djerdap Gorge is made up of three basins and four gorges - Golubac, Gospodjin Vir, Kazan, and Sip. The most beautiful is Kazan, the narrowest gorge in Djerdap, which at one point does not exceed 150 meters in width.

Due to its long history and incredible beauty, the Djerdap Gorge has always been a great challenge for tourists.

Whether you are a fan of sailing on the Danube, whether you like hiking or exploring the rich flora, the gorge in the Djerdap National Park will fulfill all your wishes.
