People in northern Kosovo continue their peaceful protests in front of municipal buildings, determined not to give up their demands for the withdrawal of the Kosovo special police and illegitimate Albanian mayors, as well as for the release of the Serbs who were arrested in previous weeks with the use of excessive and unnecessary force.

Gatherings in front of municipal buildings in Leposavic, Zvecan and Zubin Potok have entered the 33rd day, and as reported by Kosovo Online, the situation is calm, but also full of uncertainty and anxiety regarding what will happen next, given that there is no indication that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti will accept the demands of the international community to de-escalate the situation.

Today once again, the citizens of Leposavic are in front of the municipal seat, and the new mayor Ljulzim Hetemi, who was elected by winning only 100 votes in the April 23 elections that were boycotted by the Serbs, is still inside. He has been in this building since May 29, when the peaceful protests of the Serbs began.

Members of the Kosovo police are also present, and Hungarian soldiers from KFOR are in front of the building.

The protests continued in Zvecan as well, where employees of this local government are in the first row, demanding that the police leave the building and to be able to return to their workplaces.
