President of the Serbian National Assembly Vladimir Orlic was on an official visit to Buenos Aires on Sunday, on the occasion of the inauguration of the newly elected prresident of Argentina, Javier Milei.

Orlic traveled to Argentina as the envoy of President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, the Cabinet of the President of the National Assembly of Serbia had announced.

Congratulating President Milei, Dr. Orlic expressed his belief that the two countries will continue to strengthen their traditional friendship, with even more substantive cooperation in all areas of mutual interest and a strong commitment to respecting the principles of public international law, said a statement.

Orlic took the opportunity to thank Argentina in particular for respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country, as well as for the support it provides to Serbia's positions in international organizations.

Orlic conveyed to Milei his sincere wishes for the well-being and prosperity of Argentina, at the same time thanking him for the invitation to participate in the inauguration ceremony.

On the sidelines of the ceremony in Buenos Aires, the president of the National Assembly had a series of meetings with dignitaries, with whom he discussed bilateral relations, as well as opportunities for strengthening inter-parliamentary and other cooperation.
