The leader of the Serbian Progressive Party, SNS, Milos Vucevic, said that the mandates of the deputies were confirmed today, and that in the coming period, all bodies of the National Assembly will be constituted in accordance with the will of the ruling majority.

"Four years of important decisions, numerous activities of the National Assembly, of the deputies and the people's struggle to preserve national and state interests await us," Vucevic told a press conference in the hall of the Serbian National Assembly.

He thanked Professor Stojan Radenovic, the oldest elected member of the National Assembly, for presiding over today's session and wished him a successful continuation of his work until a permanent president of the Serbian National Assembly has been elected, as well as all the structures of the National Assembly.

At the same time, Vucevic expressed dissatisfaction with the behavior of the opposition in the National Assembly.

"Those who persistently cast a shadow over our country and our people, carried out that performance, a play, but also displayed a kind of violence, both physical and verbal, and effectively sent the message to the citizens of Serbia that for them there is no one homeland, there is no one state, and that all citizens are not equal, but that there are some citizens who are acceptable to them, namely a smaller portion, while the majority of Serbia is absolutely unacceptable to them," said Vucevic.

He added that the opposition gave itself the right to say whether someone is a member of the National Assembly or not.

"They gave themselves the right to say whether the elections were fair or not, even though they themselves, precisely through those elections and by the will of the citizens of Serbia, entered the Assembly, i.e. the House of the National Assembly," said Vucevic.

According to him, the irony is that precisely Radomir Lazovic or Miroslav Aleksic were the ones heckling and hurling insults at the expense of Professor Radenovic, one of the world's best known mathematicians, a man who put his country on the map, rather than himself.
