Vucic speaks from Tirana: I am very satisfied, we discussed important projects

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic made the following remarks while in Tirana:

"I am very satisfied, we had good talks with representatives of many countries.

We also discussed some specific projects, namely the interconnector with North Macedonia and other infrastructure projects and the growth agenda."

He pointed out that SEPA is important for us and our companies, but also for our people who live and work abroad, because of the remittances they are sending to Serbia.

"We fought for our country and I think we did a good job. It goes without saying that I also spoke with people from the region, other than last night over dinner, today I was also with Zeljka Cvijanovic for a short time, and with Andrej Plenkovic and with many other leaders, and of course, I was with Erdogan, and I think that in a short time we achieved a lot and arranged many meetings for the upcoming period," said Vucic.

The 6th meeting of the European Political Community gathers leaders from all over Europe - 27 EU members and 20 non-member states.

It is the first time that a Western Balkan country hosts the summit, while the theme of the meeting is "New Europe in the new world: unity - cooperation - joint action."

A statement published on the website of the Tirana meeting assesses that it taking place in the Western Balkans signifies not only a symbolic recognition of the place of Southeastern Europe in European politics, but also a strategic investment in the role of the region in shaping the future of the continent.
