Brnabic: Rector of the University of Belgrade signed on to be on the "blockader" election list

President of the National Assembly Ana Brnabic announced today that the rector of the University of Belgrade, Vladan Djokic, has signed an agreement to be on the "blockader" list for the parliamentary elections, the holding of which is a demand of the students organizing and taking part in protest blockades.

"I thank him. He has now also shown with his signature that President Vucic was right on December 11 when he said that everything they are doing is just politics," Brnabic posted on X.

She added that she now expects the same signature "to be seen on his irrevocable resignation as rector of the University of Belgrade."

"And let me remind the rector of Article 43, paragraph 10 of the Law on Higher Education: 'Political, partisan or religious organization and activities are not allowed at a higher education institution'. Or maybe, rector - do you think you are above the law, the National Assembly and the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia? If so then tell all our citizens," Brnabic concluded.
