Armed so-called Kosovo police raid Kosovo and Metohija Red Cross premises in Zubin Potok

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic announced that armed so-called Kosovo police raided the facility of the Red Cross of Kosovo and Metohija located in Zubin Potok, on Lake Gazivode.

"This is about a facility that was exclusively used for the training of children and participants of Red Cross courses, training in the field of first aid and rescue, various types of sports competitions and lectures, accommodation of tourists and athletes who stayed in this part of Kosovo and Metohija and on Lake Gazivode, as well as for organizing official visits," said Petkovic.

He added that a large number of members of the so-called Kosovo police made an incursion into that building today, which they searched, and the porter and the security worker were not allowed to accompany them during the search - "which leaves a lot of room for manipulation by Kurti's phalanxes."

It is particularly indicative that three days ago, Albanian language portals published extensive unsubstantiated and tendentious articles about this facility, trying to compromise it and actually prepare media ground and justification for the violent and illegal incursion and takeover of this space today, Petkovic assessed.

He recalled that the Red Cross facility itself was frequently visited over the years by members of the KFOR mission, especially the German contingent, in order to familiarize themselves with the work and functioning of the Red Cross and to hold regular meetings with the leadership of this international organization, and nothing related to this facility had ever been a subject of dispute, except for Kurti's intention to seize this space by force, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija announce today.

"By breaking into the Red Cross facility, Kurti strikes at the very foundations of the survival of the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija and endangers the work of this important international humanitarian organization, about which the Office for Kosovo and Metohija will inform all relevant international representatives," stressed Petkovic.
