A small group of students participating in blockades gathered last night in front of the New Belgrade police station.

The gathering was organized on Instagram, and was meant to show support for those arrested for the attack perpetrated the night before against Milos Pavlovic and his friends (students opposed to blockades, who want classes to resume).

A group of persons surrounded Pavlovic and others, hitting them and throwing cans at them, after which they sought help at the Emergency Center.

Those protesting in front of the police last night demanded the release of the suspects.

Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic said earlier on Thursday evening that a total of 11 people had been brought in up to that point, as suspects in this case.

"The police will continue their work to identify all those who participated in the commission of criminal acts and misdemeanors and will accordingly submit appropriate reports - criminal or misdemeanor complaints. We are doing our job and there will certainly be more arrests," Dacic said.
