3 young men wounded in shootout between fans in Belgrade: 4 arrested, well known Red Star supporter among them

24-year-old F.K. was wounded last night during a clash between Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) and Partizan fans on the Gazela Bridge in Belgrade.

F.K. arrived to the Emergency Center on his own, with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Telegraf.rs has learned that he is a Partizan supporter.

Two other young men got shot, and sought treatment in a private hospital.

Four fans were arrested as part of police operation Vihor ("whirlwind"), among them M.G., a Red Star fan. Unofficially, V.V., B.V., and S.D. have also been brought in.

"Three people were seriously injured in a shooting that took place last night in Belgrade. The shooting happened at 11:20 pm on Gazela, when a 24-year-old man was shot in the shoulder. Emergency teams transported the casualties to the Emergency Center, and then the emergency service was called by a private practice in order to treat two more men with gunshot wounds. A 32-year-old man was shot in the thigh, and a 24-year-old man in the knee. Both men were transported to the Emergency Center," Tanjug learned from the Center.

Telegraf reported earlier that F.K. was with a friend when they were allegedly surrounded by 50 riders on scooters.

It is suspected that they did the shooting.

By order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, four young men have been arrested.

Also last night, Partizan basketball club defeated the Buducnost from Podgorica 83-67, in the third match of the final series of the ABA League playoffs, and after the game, there were unpleasant scenes as well.

It is suspected that the Gazela incident was retaliation for a recent incursion and attack by Partizan fans into New Belgrade's Block 21 - one of the major strongholds of Red Star supporters in the Serbian capital.
