Gruesome details of Odzaci murder-suicide: Ex-convict used machete to massacre his neighbor?!

The director of a local farming cooperative, Z.B, died tragically last night in the village of Backi Gracac near Odzaci. According to information available thus far, he was murdered by Z.T., who then committed suicide.

According to unofficial information, the victim was the director of the village cooperative, while the suspect reportedly previously worked there, but was fired.

The locals say that 10 or 15 years ago Z.T murdered his father and mother. According to them, he was charged and imprisoned for the murder of his mother, but not of the father. Z.T. was released from prison 7 or 8 years ago, only to commit a new crime last night.

"30 years ago he worked in the Cooperative. Whether the victim fired him, or whatever happened, but he (Z.T.) kept saying they would face each other," the locals said.

The murder took place in a field, near a tractor. The victim's head was cut in half and both his arms were cut off. It is believed the attacker used a machete.

After this, he went to the local cemetery where he committed suicide.

The on-duty prosecutor from the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Sombor was at the scene where he conducted an investigation, and ordered autopsies.
