Vucic speaks in Abu Dhabi: Big military parade in September in Belgrade! "You will not have seen that before"

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has been  on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates since yesterday, from where he addressed the public:

"We exchanged opinions and agreed on important issues, regarding the future. I hope that the conflict in the Middle East will end soon, because it spreads over a good part of the Asian continent, and it also affects us. Oil prices are such that, if everything were to remain as is, we too would have to increase the prices of oil products. Of course, the end of the conflict is the most important because of people's lives and for the sake of peace," he said, and added:

"As far as our (Serbia-UAE) bilateral cooperation is concerned, we have broad cooperation in various areas, such as Belgrade Waterfront and other spheres of life. Today we also launched cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence. We must strengthen our military, to be able to preserve peace and stability, without endangering anyone, but to dissuade anyone who would think that Serbia could be easy prey in today's world of instability, and the unknown that's ahead of us."

Vucic added it will also be necessary to work on biotechnology and accordingly he agreed with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan that experts from the two countries should exchange views, opinions - especially that experts in Serbia should have access to the UAE "know-how" - some of the best in the world.

He added that they discussed military-technical cooperation and the deepening of it.

"We will have a big (military) parade in Belgrade, in mid-September. It will be something that people in the region have not seen before," announced Vucic.

Another topic of discussion was EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, Serbia.

"We also talked about that, the Emirates will be a prominent presence at the EXPO and they will want to present their country in the best way. I am sure that they have helped and will continue to help with their advice. They indicated to us what to pay attention to. I asked them to help us, if we can't pay for Disneyland, to help us bring (other) theme parks, and that is of great importance to us. Not only in this - we will have support regarding other topics as well," the president stressed.

Referring again to the current conflicts in the Middle East, Vucic said: "Iranians are a proud people, Israelis and America (the US) are dominant. The only thing we can hope for, is peace."

Earlier, upon his arrival in Abu Dhabi, the Serbian president expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality shown to him by the top representatives of the UAE.
