Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Milos Vucevic said today that the blockades in Serbia represent terrorism rather than acts of civil disobedience, and stressed that early elections will not be called because protesters are blocking intersections.

"Some people think that if they blocks 50 intersections, Vucic will call elections. Elections will not be held because of this. It's well thought out, with those brazen, seemingly non-violent actions that are disrupting citizens' daily lives. The most repulsive thing is that they enjoy the fact that someone is unable to move freely, that the police are being harassed and exhausted," Vucevic told TV Informer.

He added that the main goal is to overthrow President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, and with that usher in the destruction of the state.

"He is an obstacle to them, the main target. Their goal is for public money to end up in private pockets. Then, (to accept) that we are a genocidal nation and to finish the work around Kosovo, for that to be a done deal. Also, for a puppet government to be installed in Serbia," said Vucevic.

According to him, those participating in blockades are working to destroy the economy and make it impossible for citizens to live normal lives.

Vucevic stressed that the "blockaders" are playing with the patience of the majority in Serbia, because 15,000-20,000 people are harassing 6.5 million others, thinking that is how they will achieve their political goals.

"After this, no one has any doubt that these are attempts at a color revolution. I ask all citizens to be patient. The state will not come to a halt. We endured the NATO aggression, sanctions, much worse things. We will overcome this as well. The economy is certainly suffering, people are distressed," Vucevic said.

He congratulated the police, the BIA, and other security agencies on their professionalism.

"Hats off to everyone at work. They consolidated their ranks. They understand and inform the state leadership about what is being prepared. The police have regained the trust of citizens. The link between the judiciary and the prosecution is still insufficiently strong. There are tactical moves there, some are openly advocating for a 'revolution'. There have been careless acts, the releasing (of suspects), who will commit those crimes again," Vucevic said.

He added that the "blockaders" attacked the SNS party premises near the railway station in Novi Sad again last night.

"That irritates them in the extreme. No one has been prosecuted. Last night they attacked the premises in Strazilovska Street. We will repair them. Disgrace lives forever," said Vucevic.

According to him, no gathering of those protesting has been legal, just as the blockades of intersections and railroads are not legal.

"It's not legal to beat journalists, to lynch, persecute and target people, it cannot be legal to attack the police," Vucevic said.
