President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has assessed that the recent concert of Croatian singer Marko Perkovic Thompson represented the "biggest fascist rally since before the Second World War."

"Not even during the Second World War was there such a massive gathering that directly promoted the fascist, Ustasha ideology, as the worst form of Nazi ideology," Vucic said on Monday.

He was attending the opening ceremony for the "Dragan Markovic Palma" Tourist Complex in Jagodina, when a journalist asked him to comment on the fact that representatives of the European Commission (EC) said they had no comment about the Thompson concert in Zagreb.

Vucic added that Serbia is used to the EC not reacting to such events, while on the other hand, they say that the police in Serbia must refrain from excessive use of force, because "they (the police) 'attacked' the blockaders' wood poles with their shields and visors."
