Cold front arriving! These parts of Serbia will be affected first
True summer weather is expected in Serbia today and tomorrow. Maximum temperatures will be from 30 to 35 degrees Celsius, and it will be the hottest on the first day of the weekend.
A further influx of hot air from the north of Africa is forecast for then.
Maximum temperatures on Saturday will range from 34 to 38 degrees, in Belgrade up to 36 degrees.
Later in the afternoon, a cold front is expected to reach the north of Vojvodina in northern Serbia, bringing local showers and thunderstorms, and the wind will turn to strong northwesterly.
During the evening and night, the cold front will continue its journey across northern Serbia towards central parts of the country and further south. Precipitation will be absent in most of these regions and there may be showers with thunder in some places, but the wind will be turning to a strong northwesterly and a cooling is expected.
On the second day of the weekend, more pleasant weather is forecast, with temperatures about 7 degrees lower.
Maximum temperatures in most areas will be around 30 degrees.
The first half of next week will be very hot again. Starting on Thursday, September 10, the hot summer will be over and a major change in weather will take place.
