Xi Jinping writes to Aleksandar Vucic: I attach great significance to development of China-Serbia relations

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has received a letter from Chinese President Xi Jinping, in which the Chinese leader told him he attaches great significance to the China-Serbia relations.
According to the Serbian president's press service, Xi thanked Vucic for his birthday greetings letter, and stressed that under Vucic's leadership, Serbia achieved exceptional success in national development.
"I highly appreciate Serbia's consistent and firm support for China on matters concerning key interests and main concerns. We met in May in Moscow and had a deep exchange on China-Serbia relations as well as the international situation. We reached a broad consensus, setting the direction for high-quality improvement in building a China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era," Xi's letter reads.
The Chinese leader stressed that he attached great significance to development of China-Serbia relations and that he is ready to invest joint efforts with Vucic to deepen strategic communication between the two countries, strengthen mutual political trust and advance mutually beneficial cooperation and continued progress in building a China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era to contribute even more to prosperity of the two nations.
"In anticipation of meeting with you in China during the commemorative activity on occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's Liberation War against the Japanese aggression and in the World Anti-Fascist War, I wish you good health and all the best," Xi concluded.
