The British Embassy in Serbia announced that that country's special envoy for the Western Balkans Karen Pierce had spoken with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

According to this, dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina was a topic, and Pierce expressed concern about the latest tensions between Belgrade and Pristina and the need for remaining issues to be resolved through EU-mediated dialogue.

The embassy stated in a post on X that the meeting took place on August 6.

"Dame Karen Pierce, UK Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, spoke to President Vucic yesterday to discuss her concerns over the latest tensions between Serbia and Kosovo and the need to resolve outstanding issues through the EU-facilitated dialogue," the post published on Thursday reads.

Vucic and Pierce also discussed the events in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

Pierce said that she was looking forward to welcoming representatives of Serbia at the Berlin Process summit, to be held in the UK in October.
