Head of Military Security Agency of Serbia, VBA, makes urgent statement: It concerns last night's events

The director of the Military Security Agency of Serbia,VBA - General Lieutenant Djuro Jovanic - spoke from the General Staff on Thursday and stated that during last night's events, seven members of the Serbian Army got injured, four seriously.

Jovanic added that the army and other competent services in Serbia will identify the attackers.

Interior Minister Ivica Dacic also spoke last night, stating that the police and citizens came under attack by protesters.

Dacic also clarified that "a man with a gun" seen in Novi Sad is a Serbian Army NCO.

"I want to deny reports in the color revolution's media, that this was a member of the SNS party. That is not true, he is an official person who prevented a disaster with his actions.

The gun was held by a Serbian Army NCO, if he had not taken out his service pistol and used it (to fire warning shots), there would have been serious consequences, lives could have been lost. He has been seriously injured," said Dacic.
