SNS leader Milos Vucevic, who is also a presidential advisor, said today that he believes that very soon the president and the government will come up with measures to "give the state back to the citizens" and stressed that this is a big and important task before the country's leadership.

Vucevic told TV Pink that he believes that the majority of people in Serbia expect such a reaction.

"There is dehumanization at work, criminalization of all those who have different opinions, above all of Aleksandar Vucic. We are being called sandwich makers, thugs, while they are students, professors, bikers. When they commit acts of violence, that is presented as legitimate, when the police use minimal force to maintain order, that is oppression. When they burn other people's houses, that is right and just. They've twisted everything," Milos Vucevic said of the protesters.

The SNS leader stressed he was shocked when what he said is the tycoon media tried to justify the violence that recently happened in the cities in Serbia, and accuse members of the SNS and their supporters for it.

"It's not the fault of those who went to attack and demolish, but of the people who were inside the premises. It's not the fault of a bandit who went to burgle an apartment, but of the family that lives in it. It's the fault of those who were there and stood in their (party) premises - not those who attacked someone else's premises. First, I was there, then I was not," said Vucevic, referring to the way some media are covering these events.

He added that he and his son were in the SNS premises in Novi Sad and added that it was an honor to defend his faith in a decent Serbia.

"They cannot destroy the idea, the program, the spirit and faith that people have. A political party is not a space expressed in square meters. They wanted to kill people. I am also grateful to the members of the Kobra (unit) who were with me, they were there because I am a protected person," he said.

He stressed that the protesters are deceiving the public, and that he in fact has the right to security detail because he previously served as defense minister, and Serbia's prime minister.

"(Former President Boris) Tadic also had it. I am proud of the people who defended their home and the idea they believe in. The key message is that citizens are tired and fed up with the blockades. They want safety in the state. It's not a problem to make changes in society, fix some injustices and irregularities, however people will not let the state disappear. People saw that this was not a cry for the truth about happened at the (Novi Sad) Railway Station. They (protesters) stripped the values of a normal way of life from us," said Vucevic.
