Van crashes into tractor, tractor driver gets run over by car: New details about Sremska Mitrovica accident

A serious traffic accident that claimed the life of one person died happened early this morning between 5 and 6 o'clock, on the road between Sasinac and Jarak, near Sremska Mitrovica.

According to initial information, a man was driving a tractor and intended to take a turn towards the fields. A van then crashed into the tractor, and the impact was so strong that the driver fell off the tractor.

The driver was then ran over by a car that arrived from the direction of Sremska Mitrovica, leaving him dead on the spot.

An ambulance immediately arrived at the scene, but the doctors could not save the victim.

Because of the accident, part of the Sasinci-Jarak road was closed to traffic around 6:30 am, while the authorities investigated.

The police appeal to drivers to adjust speed and drive carefully, especially in the early morning hours when visibility is reduced.
