President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic today received Brazilian Ambassador Jose Mauro da Fonseca Costa Couto on a farewell visit.

Vucic thanked the diplomat for his sincere commitment and tireless efforts in strengthening the unbreakable ties between our countries, which, he said, will remain the foundation of future trust and togetherness.

Posting on the Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav", Vucic stated that the outgoing Brazilian ambassador is a true friend of Serbia and that during his mandate, relations between Serbia and Brazil became stronger and more sincere.

"In a time full of challenges, the ambassador showed true commitment to our cooperation, especially in areas that are of strategic importance to us, namely agriculture, energy and protection of nature. Brazil is a country with which we share common values and faith in a future built on work, knowledge and friendship between peoples," wrote Vucic.

He added that in all of this, the ambassador was a solid bridge that connected Belgrade and Brasilia.

"May our paths continue to cross, because the friendships we have built know no borders," said Vucic.
