"I've solved two problems at home, I'll solve another one": Monstrous murder-suicide near Krusevac

A gruesome case of domestic violence that resulted in a murder and a suicide happened over the weekend in the village of Crkvina, near Krusevac.

The news about the crime has upset the entire area, leaving locals in disbelief that something of the kind could happen in their neighborhood.

"We heard about the crime, we have all been shaken since this morning, it's the talk of the village. They say that an argument broke out in the house, then the man grabbed a mace and started beating both his father, and his son, and then went to a neighbor's house. The neighbor says he asked to be given the money he was owed,  and told him he had 'solved two problems at home and was going to solve another one'," said a local woman.

She added that man responsible for this horrific case domestic violence then committed suicide.

"Not long after, we heard that he had hanged himself, people tried to save him, but there was no chance. By the time the neighbors arrived, he was already dead. An all round tragedy," the woman is quoted as saying.

The man who eventually committed suicide first brutally battered his 90-year-old father, who survived with serious injuries, as well as his 49-year-old son, who succumbed to his wounds.

The Higher Prosecutor's Office in Krusevac has been informed about this tragedy.

The investigation is ongoing.
