Vucic meets with Japanese ambassador in Belgrade: Strengthening economic ties, joint projects, investments

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke today with Japanese Ambassador in Belgrade Akira Imamura about strengthening bilateral cooperation and economic ties.
The emphasis was on new joint projects and more Japanese investments in Serbia.
The opportunities for strengthening economic ties through greater Japanese investments in infrastructure, energy, the high-tech sector and industry, along with the transfer of knowledge and development of capacities of domestic companies were discussed.
"A very good meeting with the ambassador of Japan and a constructive conversation about strengthening bilateral cooperation, with an emphasis on new joint projects, increasing investments, as well as intensifying academic and cultural ties," said Vucic in a post on the Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav".
The president particularly highlighted the success of EXPO in Osaka as an example of exceptional organization and logistics, which represents a challenge, inspiration and framework for Serbia to improve its own capacities in the organization (of EXPO Belgrade), and promotion of innovations.
"I stressed Serbia's commitment to continuous strengthening of relations and expansion of cooperation with Japan, bearing in mind the huge potentials that will be opening up in our country in the coming period," Vucic stated in his post.
