Minister Ivica Dacic and Slovenian ambassador: Special efforts to protect borders from illegal crossings

Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic has met with Slovenian Ambassador Slobodan Sesum, with whom he discussed improving police cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of combating irregular migration.
The minister and the ambassador assessed cooperation thus far as excellent, especially the efforts to protect borders against illegal crossings, as well as the fight against organized crime and people smuggling.
Dacic thanked the ambassador for Slovenia's support in strengthening the capacity of the Serbian police through projects, and stressed the importance of intensive operational cooperation for effective suppression of all types of crime.
It was emphasized during the meeting that good cooperation between the two countries in the field of internal affairs is in the interest of the region's security and that they will advocate for its further improvement.
